I’ve been working like crazy getting my Triple-Threat Leadership e-Book ready to release and it’s coming very soon! The online assessment is complete and I’m testing it out on some friends and colleagues. Here’s a short exerpt from the e-Book:
Executive coaching has become a trend in the leadership world because wise leaders have recognized the following:
…that the most valuable assets of any organization are the leaders.
…that organizations are only as good as their leaders.
…good leaders are never fully satisfied with their own ability and they long to become better.
…leaders want (no matter how painful it is) to be honest with themselves about their strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots.
…leaders want to accomplish more than making money. They want to make a difference, leave a legacy and change the world!
…leaders intuitively know that people don’t quit their jobs but they quit their bosses. In addition to the previous list of beliefs, as a Leadership Coach, I believe:
…that Triple-Threat Leadership is a simple and practical tool for assessing one’s leadership skills, knowing how to lead individuals, knowing how to lead groups, and diagnosing leadership problems.
…the Triple-Threat process helps leaders see their blind spots and become the people others want to work for and with.
…the Triple-Threat spectrum is the “Leadership Swiss Army Knife” that all leaders need to have in their back pockets!
You can be among the first to complete the assessment and get a free copy of my un-proofed e-Book. All you have to do is leave a short comment on this blog. I’ll send the assessment to the first 15 of you who comment below and after you complete the assessment you’ll get a copy of your Triple-Threat Leadership Style report (sample pic below) and a copy of the Triple-Threat Leadership e-Book. So start commenting and have a great day!
I recently took one division at an organization through my Triple-Threat Leadership presentation and discovered something fascinating (Click Here to read about Triple-Threat Leadership if you aren’t already familiar with it). During every Triple-Threat event I ask the participants which leadership style is the preferred or default style of their organization as a whole. Unanimously every person in the room said the preferred or default style of leadership in their organization was “The Achiever”. Interestingly everyone agreed that the Sr. Leader of the organization was also an “Achiever”.
Before I tell you what happened next I need to tell you a little about this particular group I was working with. They are one division of 13 employees in a $25,000,000 organization. They are also one of the highest performing teams in the organization.
Okay, back to the presentation. Everyone in the room took the Triple-Threat Assessment and no one on the team was an “Achiever”. Here’s the breakdown of their team’s leadership styles:
I find it interesting that everyone in the room believes that “Achiever” is the preferred style in their organization, but no one in their highly-rated-division is an “Achiever”. I know what I think this means, but I want to hear your thoughts. Let me know what you think this data means for the organization. Please share your thoughts below (BUT please only share after you’ve already read through the Triple-Threat series of posts I linked to above).
